Calculate instructor payouts

Payouts automatically calculate what you owe an instructor or guide for an activity (fixed amount, percentage, rules per resource). Setup is per activity, in the dedicated tab — separate from partner commissions (booking agents), covered in Designate a partner or booking agent.

Prerequisites

• The instructor is assigned to the activity — see Assign an instructor or guide.
• Your payout rules (nature, VAT, chart of accounts) are consistent if you export to accounting — see Export instructor payouts for accounting.

Procedure

1. Open Schedule and edit the relevant activity.
2. Go to the Instructors and payouts tab.
3. Choose the payout type that matches your agreement (amount, percentage, per-resource variant depending on the interface).
4. Enable automatic payout calculation.
5. Save the activity.

After bookings and running the activity, calculated lines can be viewed, consolidated, or disabled from payout tracking screens (menu linked to finances / activities depending on your profile).

Common issues

• No payout calculated: automatic calculation not enabled, instructor not assigned, or activity with no billable registration.
• Inconsistent amount: review payout type and resource differentiation if several instructors are involved.
