Review cash register positions
Beginner 10 min Updated 22 May 2026
The Cash register positions screen lets you check consistency of amounts per payment method (cash, cheque, card, etc.) over a chosen period.
For each flow, the software reconciles opening position, counted closing position (from openings / closings), and theoretical position derived from recorded payments. When there is a discrepancy, a delta is shown per line.
Procedure
- In the navigation bar, open Cash register, then Cash register positions.
- Check the period (default: from the start of the current month); adjust start and end dates if needed.
- Run display or calculation (OK, Refresh, Calculate depending on the interface).
- Review the table: one row per payment flow. Note opening, counted closing, theoretical, and delta / discrepancy.
- For any non-zero delta, investigate: review closings, sales, and safe deposits for the period; cross-check with physical documents.
Common issues
- Empty screen or error: check permissions, register / establishment selection, and openings / closings on the period.
- Large delta: widen or narrow the date range; check that no operation was entered on a different register or date.
