Translate activities and account content

Published text (activities, how you present your business) can exist in multiple languages. When a visitor browses your mini-site, an embedded widget on your website, or a booking page with a lang parameter (e.g. ?lang=en), Activiteez shows available translations; otherwise the account default language is used.

Per-activity translations

Each activity stores its translations on the activity itself.

  1. Open Schedule and edit an activity (double-click or edit button).
  2. At the top right of the edit window, open the language selector.
  3. In the default language (first option in the list), enter or update the usual fields: title, description, location, activity-related email messages, booking labels, associated form, etc.
  4. Pick another language from the list: translatable fields are highlighted; fill in the version in that language.
  5. Switch back to the default language if needed, then Save the activity.

Fields not translated in a given language generally fall back to the default language value when displayed.

Fields covered (activity)

In practice, the selector includes:

  • activity title and description;
  • location and related links;
  • messages sent to the customer (confirmation, waiting list, post-activity…);
  • booking button labels and flow text;
  • booking form and its name.

To create a first activity before translating it: Create your first activity.

Account translations (mini-site and widgets)

Some text shown on your public Activiteez page or in an embed on your website comes from general account settings, not from a single activity.

  1. Open Settings (preferences).
  2. Go to the General tab.
  3. At the top right, choose the language to translate in the selector (the first option is the account default language).
  4. Fill in the highlighted fields:
    • Description (Business panel);
    • Website and Terms & conditions (Company info panel).
  5. Switch back to the default language to review the main version if needed, then Save settings.

These translations apply when the visitor browses your space in the matching language (URL parameter, language menu on the mini-site, or recognized browser language).

If you embed Activiteez on your website (iframe, popup, or link), the module uses the same translated content:

  • activity titles and descriptions;
  • account description, website, and terms from settings.

To install the embed code: Embed Activiteez on your website.

To force a language on a link or embed, add the lang parameter with the appropriate code (e.g. ?lang=en) to the URL generated by the embed assistant.

Email and ticket language (reminder)

Translating published content (activity, account description) is separate from a customer’s communication language (personalized emails and tickets). Set that on the customer record or when booking — see Manage customer communication language.

Common issues

  • Activity stays in the default language on the widget: check that the translation is saved for the visitor’s language and that the widget URL includes the correct lang parameter or the browser is set to that language.
  • Account description does not change: Description, Website, and Terms are translated under Settings → General, not in activity editing.
  • Mixed languages: complete missing fields in each language; empty fields fall back to the default language.
